New Braunfels, Texas – August 3, 2022— David W. Tubman is excited about reintroducing his non-fiction (true) paperback titled: “Jimmy Hoffa Is Missing-The Gap”. This is the latest July 30, 2022 edition and the only place to hear the true account and extended trail about Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance on July 30, 1975.
The headlines read “Jimmy Hoffa Is Missing” in the Detroit News on August 1st, 1975, just two days after the event. “Last Seen Outside Restaurant” was a tagline and would become the only clue to the nearly 50-year-old unsolved true crime mystery. What if there were more eyewitnesses with more information to help solve the case?
Fortunately, there was Kenneth and Frances Tubman, who were in the right, (wrong) place at the right, (wrong) time. What the couple observed that afternoon would be kept a family secret for decades… but for good reason. The FBI believed the case was open and shut and would convict the known perpetrators rather quickly. But, the trial ended with only circumstantial evidence to go on. Without this crucial evidence, the trail withered. The additional eyewitness account would be hidden till Kenneth had passed and Frances was 89 years old in 2006. The son, (author) would convince her to reveal it to the FBI. They promised to pass it along to the Hoffa family for ‘closure’. However, in 2009 it was discovered that the story was never given to the Hoffa family and a video recording of France telling what they saw in her own words was made, just in case. Frances passed in 2011, but the story didn’t die. The video and the decades of related research go beyond the pages of the book. The account challenges the alibis and claims with more convincing facts that appear to end the trail in the heart of Detroit.
